Radio Cherwell has enjoyed the support of many local companies over the years through donations, goods, services and prizes for our programmes.
Now we are able to offer four companies the opportunity to advetise in both our hospital broadcasts and web streaming service. For as little as £180, you could have your 30 second commercial played for three months, at least three times a day, in between our recorded programmes and the live news bulletin on the hour. We also have packages for 20 and 40 second commercials.
For sponsors who would like to support us for a year or more, we will include daily recorded sponsorship thank yous and bonus plays. We could also add your logo, tag line and website link to pages of our website for an additional £20 per month.
Radio Cherwell is listened to by over 11,000 people per quarter, both in Oxfords Hospitals, in local care homes, and on our streaming service via this website, on smart speakers and devices, or on our free Radio Cherwell app. The potential audience in our hospitals in constantly changing. In 2024/5, the OUH NHS Trust had 107,100 emergency and unplanned admissions, 95,207 elective inpatient admissions and day cases, and 7,401 babies were delivered. On average, NHS England say that planned admission patients stay in hospital for 5 days, and emergency patients for an average of 9 days.
It costs us over £5,000 to provide our wide range of programmes aimed at hospital patients and those in care. We actively fundraise by providing public address system hire, sound recording services, local talks, member subscriptions, donations and gift aid etc, but unfortunately its often not enough to cover our costs.
